Important Questions

1. Why do I pay a fee to Hayslip & Zost Pharmacy Brokers instead of the buyer?

Because we work for you – to maximum the market value of your pharmacy and protect your interests in the negotiations and legal contracts. Our fees are well below the normal business list broker. Email or call us for details.

2. If I have an interest in buying a pharmacy how can your company help with this?

Our company has the ability to offer special financing for potential buyers who qualify.  We can assist buyers putting together business plans and cash flow analysis for lenders.  If you have a desire to own a pharmacy we can find the financing.  We work closely with potential buyers through the entire buy-sell process.

3.. Do I need attorney assistance for the sale of my pharmacy?

Yes.  Hayslip & Zost will negotiate all the business aspects of the contract but we recommend an attorney to review your contract prior to you signing anything, At Hayslip & Zost our consulting fee does include an attorney review of your contract.

4. Does Hayslip & Zost Pharmacy Brokers really have buyers for my store – or are you just trying to get a listing?

Yes, we have drug store buyers interested in acquiring good businesses. We are constantly contacted by individual owners and regional chains to assist in acquiring independent drug stores in specific markets.

One reason for their interest is that we incur a great expense in acquisition searches and provide the buyer with a professionally complete analysis of a pharmacy prospect. It saves buyers the time and expense of repeating the process. The result has been satisfied sellers and satisfied buyers.

5. How do you value a pharmacy store – and can that price change?

We have created excellent proprietary statistical data to calculate the value of a pharmacy. Calculations are based on information provided in the initial interview and then confirmed with the "detailed analysis." The price value may change to take into account the differences after the actual business financial statements, tax returns, etc., are compiled.

Additionally, a pharmacy valuation could fluctuate if another store in your marketing area is acquired, affecting a potential buyer's expectation. Delays in negotiating or accepting an offer also can affect the value.

6. How long does the selling process take?

Generally, once we have received the detail information package from a seller, it takes us about two weeks to put together a marketing plan specific to your store.  We work very closely with the seller through the entire process to assure confidentiality and a smooth transition for both seller and buyer. While it's not an overnight process, we are committed to streamlining the process and wrapping it up as quickly as possible.

7. Do you provide references?

We will provide names of past clients. However, due to confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreements, we can only do so with their permission.  Our clients understand how big a decision this is.  We estimate that over 80% of our new clients come from referrals by former clients.

8. Does Hayslip & Zost Pharmacy Brokers ever sell other businesses?

No. We only specialize in pharmacies.  We are considered experts in the industry concerning the buy/sell pharmacy transaction.  Our business is developing exit strategies for pharmacy owners.   We also assist many buyers in the buying process of retail pharmacies.
